Templeton Mercantile, an amazing multi-concept space in the heart of Downtown Templeton is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Coffee Shop Supervisor position among our hardworking team.
Templeton Mercantile is home to Pig Iron restaurant as well as Club Car Bar, both of which feature a high quality cocktail program with a delicious food menu to match. We are re-integrating a new coffee program into our services and need a driven, self-motivated and passionate individual to join our Front Of House crew in continuing to serve the best food + drink in North County.
We are looking for a professional, dedicated individual that is experienced in hospitality and capable of providing excellent, consistent and knowledgeable leadership to a small team of baristas, and will exemplify high-quality customer service to our wonderful Templeton community.
Previous barista experience, including use of an espresso machine is REQUIRED.
Position will begin as part-time, then move into full-time as needed.
Ideal candidates should:
- Have proven management experience
- Have proven working experience in a restaurant and/or coffee shop
- Have proven barista experience, including professional use of an espresso machine
- Be available for morning shifts throughout the week as needed
- Be capable of arriving on time for scheduled shifts
- Act as an example of excellent hospitality to team of employees and enforce policies as required
- Maintain a professionalism and act in a supervisory role to a small team of employees
- Be responsible for ensuring monthly, weekly and daily cleaning and reporting tasks are completed
- Maintain a professional and accountable work environment
- Communicate to upper management frequently about employee or guest concerns and questions
- Provide detailed and accurate financial and inventory reporting to upper management as needed
- Assist General Manager in identifying, executing and completing short and long term goals within the business
- Know how to spot and resolve problems efficiently and professionally
- Provide high quality customer service to a wide variety of guests
- Act as host and provide hospitable environment to guests, answering questions as needed
- Run cash register and ring up guests for food and drink orders
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and be accountable
- Keep work area clean and tidy, restocking supplies and cleaning as needed
- Assist in expo and organization of food and drink orders, keeping in healthy and active communication with kitchen staff
- Be capable of taking on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with others
- Have a passion for the hospitality industry
- Be able to work on their feet for long periods of time in a fast paced environment
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Be able to read and comprehend English
