Templeton Mercantile, an amazing multi-concept space in the heart of Downtown Templeton is seeking a qualified candidate to lead our bar team.
Templeton Mercantile is home to Pig Iron restaurant as well as Club Car Bar, which houses a professionally outfitted indoor music venue and gorgeously hand built bar, featuring a high quality cocktail program with a delicious food menu to match. We need a driven, self-motivated and passionate individual to manage and lead our bar crew in continuing to serve the best food + drink in North County.
The ideal candidate should:
- Have management experience
- Have proven working experience in a restaurant
- Know how to spot and resolve problems efficiently and professionally
- Provide high quality customer service to a wide variety of guests
- Maintain a vast knowledge of classic cocktails
- Be able and willing to learn new concepts and recipes
- Be capable of taking on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with others
- Have a passion for the hospitality industry, keeping up with bartending trends and best practices, and know how to clean as you go
- Be capable of managing schedules of employees
- Keep an accurate and accountable inventory
- Be capable of ordering inventory in a responsible and timely manner, with quantities appropriate to restaurant needs
- Utilize existing inventory in an inventive and efficient manner
- Model and enforce meticulous and regular cleaning practices within the work environment
- Be able to work on their feet for long periods of time in a fast paced environment
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Be able to read and comprehend English
