Mechanical Designer I

We promote a healthy work/life balance.Role & Responsibilities: Perform most of the basic engineering tasks as necessary for each project including zoning, equipment layout and coordination, heating/cooling load calculations, coordination with other team(s), etc, with support.During the design phase, you will prepare Design Development Drawings and Construction Documents in collaboration with other squad members, and senior team members as needed while applying relevant code knowledge to yoursystem design and layout, with support.During the agency approval phase, you will coordinate corrections to your plans/designs with the AHJ and other team members as needed in order to support project permitting, with support.During the construction phase, you will provide Construction Administration services to aid in the execution of ourdesign, with support.Qualifications:Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting skills preferredWorking knowledge of current codes/standards for building projects within the State of California including:California Mechanical Code, CALGreen Code, and California Energy Code, preferredTraining in BIM preferred; Revit MEP preferred Excellent time management and project prioritization Software skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office365 preferredBSME degree, technical degree, or other industry specific work experience which demonstrates high levels oftechnical capabilityEngineer In Training Certificate strongly preferredGrowth mindset requiredFor consideration, please provide a cover letter that includes information on why you are interested in this position as well as a detailed resume.Please apply online with BMA Mechanical+ at: https://bmamechanical.hiringthing.com/job/861072/mechanical-designer-i?s=cl
