Direct Staff (Behavior Technician) - Part Time to Full Time

Location: Home-based services throughout local communities (some telehealth possibly)

Population Served: Children and adolescents (ages 2–21), primarily with Autism and related developmental needs

Work Schedule: Flexible, 2–3 hour sessions, scheduled based on family needs and your availability. Multiple case assignments are arranged to support your desired total weekly hours.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on education and experience ($23-$28 per hour)

Drive time and mileage reimbursement

Paid training

About the Role:

At PRAISE, our Direct Staff play a key role in delivering meaningful, evidence-based services to children and their families. As a Behavior Technician, you’ll provide 1:1 support in the home setting, using creativity and compassion to help each child learn, grow, and succeed. You’ll implement individualized treatment plans developed by our Clinical Supervisors using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Responsibilities:

Provide behavior intervention services including discrete trial training, verbal behavior, social skills instruction, and parent education

Follow treatment plans and implement strategies provided by the Program Supervisor

Maintain accurate data collection during each session

Use creativity and enthusiasm to engage and motivate children

Communicate professionally with families and team members

Uphold best practices in home-based ABA and maintain professional boundaries

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)

Must be comfortable working with children with developmental disabilities

Reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, and current auto insurance

DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance and current TB test required

Able to work independently, manage time well, and follow direction

Comfortable working in a variety of home environments

Respectful of cultural and socioeconomic diversity

Energetic, expressive, and enthusiastic in your interactions

Willing to work across communities and socioeconomic statuses based on family needs
