Overview:The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing a team of accountants, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. This role will collaborate closely with other departments to provide key financial insights and support the organization’s strategic goals.Here's what you'll do:Oversee daily accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing processesManage the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including intercompany accounts, ensuring accuracy across subsidiaries and affiliatesEnsure proper documentation and control over financial transactions in accordance with internal policies and proceduresInitiate and track the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completionOversee and monitor daily cash flow, including bank reconciliations, deposits, and payment transactions (wire transfers, checks, etc.)Manage cash forecasting and coordinate with Treasury to ensure liquidity and meet financial obligationsOversee the management and analysis of costs associated with the production of goods and services within the companyEnsure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements related to cost accountingWork closely with IT and other departments to maintain and enhance accounting systems, such as ERP software (e.g., Oracle Fusion)Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracyEnsure effective and efficient workflow within the accounting departmentSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and professional growth.
