Job Description: As a Mover with Make It Home, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for packing, loading, transporting, and unloading our clients' belongings. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely pack, load, transport, and unload items in a manner that ensures their security and integrity.
Communicate effectively with clients, donors and team members to ensure a smooth moving process.
Follow all company guidelines, safety protocols, and procedures to prevent injuries and property damage.
Prepare and maintain accurate inventory and condition reports for all items handled.
Disassemble and reassemble furniture and equipment as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing clients' and donors’ concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction.
Operate moving vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining trucks and moving equipment. Assist in moving and organizing items in warehouse. Occasionally assist donors with unloading donations from their vehicles into warehouse and placing them in the appropriate lcoations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in moving, warehousing, or related field is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift and move heavy items for extended periods.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
