Job Opportunity: RV Solar Technician – Avalon-RV
Location: Benicia, CA
Position: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Avalon-RV is a premier RV service and customization shop specializing in solar power installations, lithium battery upgrades, and electrical system repairs for motorhomes, travel trailers, and van conversions. With over 16 years in the industry, we take pride in delivering high-quality, cutting-edge RV solar solutions that keep our customers off-grid and on the road.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated RV Solar Technician to join our team! This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining solar power systems, batteries, and electrical components on a variety of RVs. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with 12vDC & 120vAC systems, lithium battery technology, inverters, and charge controllers.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure solar panels, charge controllers, inverters, and lithium battery systems on RVs.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to solar, batteries, and RV power systems.
- Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and best practices.
- Work with our team to develop custom off-grid power solutions for unique customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience in RV solar installation, electrical work, or related field.
- Knowledge of 12V DC & 120V AC power systems, MPPT charge controllers, and lithium battery setups.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with tools, on ladders, and in outdoor conditions.
- Must be reliable, team-oriented, and customer-friendly.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required):
- RVIA Certified or ABYV Certification (or willingness to learn/obtain).
- Experience with brands like Victron Energy, Battle Born, Zamp, & Renogy, etc
- Previous RV repair or mechanical experience.
