We’re looking for an experienced Restoration Technician to join our team and help us continue providing exceptional restoration services across the region.
Position Overview:
As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for helping clients recover from various types of damage, including water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm damage. You’ll work directly on-site, assisting with the cleanup, repair, and restoration processes to ensure that properties are safely and effectively restored to pre-damage conditions. This is a field-based role based out of San Jose, with opportunities to work on a wide range of restoration projects across the Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency service calls, including water, fire, smoke, and mold damage.
Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and other restoration services.
Clean and remove soot, smoke, and water-damaged materials.
Remediate mold and mildew, ensuring proper containment and safe removal.
Operate and maintain specialized restoration equipment, such as air movers, dehumidifiers, and cleaning tools.
Document and take photographs of the work being performed for insurance purposes.
Ensure that work areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Communicate with customers and insurance adjusters to explain the restoration process and provide updates on progress.
Assist with minor repairs and restoration tasks, including drywall, flooring, and cabinetry.
Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in restoration, water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, or a related field.
Knowledge of industry-standard restoration techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
Ability to work in challenging environments and handle emergency situations.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to document work accurately.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
IICRC certification is a plus (but not required).
Experience with drywall repair, flooring installation, and other basic construction skills is a plus.
