National Building Inspectors (NBI) is a well-established and highly respected real estate inspection company serving all nine Bay Area counties. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Residential Home Inspector to join our growing team. This is a full-time position for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of home and structural pest inspections.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience as a home inspector, with a proven track record of producing thorough, high-quality reports.
Certified by a recognized inspection association (e.g., CREIA, ASHI, or InterNACHI)
Familiarity with both residential and light commercial properties
Strong writing skills and experience using inspection software (Spectacular preferred)
Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with WDO inspections and reporting (including treatments and corrective work recommendations)
Active Branch 3 Field Representative license issued by the California Structural Pest Control Board
Knowledge of current California real estate disclosure requirements and standards of practice
Ability to manage time efficiently and perform independently in the field
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough home inspections in accordance with industry best practices and company standards
Perform structural pest inspections and identify wood-destroying organisms and conditions conducive to infestation
Communicate findings professionally with clients, real estate agents, and office staff
Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented written reports using our proprietary software
Maintain a professional appearance and uphold NBI’s reputation for integrity and excellence
