We are seeking a skilled alterations specialist to join our team. Expertise in garment alterations, utilizing sewing machines to provide high-quality alterations services to our customers for items such as men's suits, dress pants, and dress shirts.
Duties:
- Perform garment alterations and repairs using sewing machines and hand sewing techniques
- Take accurate measurements and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate alterations or modifications for their garments
- Collaborate with customers to understand their specific requests and provide recommendations when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies
Requirements:
- Proficient in garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation. Specifically men's suits, dress pants, and dress shirts.
- Strong knowledge of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Previous experience in fashion retail or customer service is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
