We are hiring an experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreman/Crew Leader to join our team in beautiful Marin County!
About the Role:
Maintain high-end residential gardens
Communicate with clients & ensure top-quality service
Use your pruning, irrigation, and plant care skills daily
Requirements:
8–10+ years of landscape maintenance experience
Expert pruning knowledge (lawns, shrubs, perennials, small trees)
A thorough understanding of traditional and organic IPM
Experience with irrigation troubleshooting and repairs
Experience with pest and fungus controls
Knowledge of fertilizer application uses and types, including seasonal scheduling per individual plant needs
Ability to safely operate and maintain all power tools and equipment associated with garden care
Confident, reliable, organized, and client-focused
Client Relationship Skills: must proactively establish trustworthy relationships, maintain contact, and cultivate relationships with clients via garden checklists, phone calls, and good follow-through
Ability to independently solve problems and meet client needs quickly and efficiently
Maintain a positive attitude, be self-reliant, solve problems effectively, and show enthusiasm when engaging with clients about their gardens
Conversational English & Spanish
Valid driver’s license & clean DMV record
Able to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in all weather
Key Skills:
Must have extensive experience caring for high-end gardens and apply these skills in fertilizing, pruning, troubleshooting irrigation systems, and overall garden maintenance
Leadership skills and crew supervision experience
Management and Priority Skills: must guide, teach, and be able to kindly, yet firmly direct fellow co-workers towards desired goals and timelines
Ability to manage priorities, timelines, and fill out timesheets
