Ability to select, purchase, deliver and install plants.
Experience managing, scheduling and directing a small crew. Planting, irrigation, garden care.
Customer service skills are required.
Attention to detail and a positive attitude are most important.
You are a gardener ALREADY. Not looking to learn how to be one.
The ideal candidate has a degree or some formal education in horticulture, landscape design or construction
management.
This is not a desk job , however organizational, communication and computer skills are required. Project Tracking App (knowify) email, google calender, etc. The position demands the ability to rock a smart phone/ipad and make things happen from wherever you are.
Basic duties include, landscape plan reading, layout, materials purchasing, gardening and motivating and supervising 2-4 people. This is a hands-on position for someone with landscaping knowledge and supervision abilities. We are focused on quality and will be working on residential projects. Design knowledge is a valuable asset, but not required. The President of this company is a licensed landscape architect, landscape contractor, and general contractor. This position fulfills apprenticeship requirements toward either license.
