Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on “Gutter Construction Manager” to oversee the daily operations of our gutter installation and repair teams. The ideal candidate will lead field crews, manage job scheduling, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive team performance. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, and strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
Oversee daily operations of gutter installation and repair projects.
Schedule jobs and allocate resources (crews, materials, equipment).
Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with clients as needed.
Team Leadership
Supervise, train, and mentor installation crews.
Conduct performance evaluations and enforce accountability.
Lead by example with professionalism, safety, and workmanship.
Recruit and onboard new crew members as needed.
Quality & Safety Assurance
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
Conduct job site inspections and safety meetings.
Address and resolve any customer complaints or quality issues.
Shop & Material Management
Oversee day-to-day shop operations to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Maintain accurate inventory of gutter materials, tools, and equipment.
Organize and label stock to streamline workflow and reduce downtime.
Place material orders in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
Coordinate with suppliers for deliveries and verify orders for accuracy.
Track material usage and costs to help control budgets.
Ensure proper storage and maintenance of equipment.
Client Relations & Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for project updates and client questions.
Provide job estimates or assist the sales team as needed.
Maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, and contractors.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years experience in gutter installation, roofing, or exterior construction.
2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong understanding of gutter systems (seamless, aluminum, copper, etc.).
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Experience with CRM/job management software.
Familiarity with local building codes and permitting.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Suites, with advanced technical skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related applications.
Experience overseeing sales personnel and managing the estimating process.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops.
