Architectural metal fabrication shop seeking a welder/fabricator with a passion for custom metalwork. We design and fabricate railings, stairs, balconies, guardrails, and other miscellaneous custom projects from mild steel, stainless, aluminum, bronze, or brass.
3+ years in architectural metal fabrication required.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in layout, reading/understanding shop drawings, weld symbols and welding processes
- 2 Years + experience with MIG and/or TIG welding processes.
- Able to work to a 1/32" tolerance.
- Field installation experience, including attaching to wood and concrete structures and components
- Competent in basic shop tools/machines i.e. mag drill, ironworker, grinder, stud guns and shears
- Be able to work 40hrs a week plus overtime when required.
- Have a fine eye for detail and the ability to handle and respect workpieces as they go through the manufacturing process.
- Ability to work well with others, communicate effectively and work individually without supervision when required.
- Able to work in Los Angeles occasionally for installations.
- Must have clean driving record
Skills that are a plus:
-Installation experience
-Have worked with glass or wood.
-Construction experience
-Current weld certification.
-Machining experience.
-Leadership experience
