Part-Time Office and Martial Arts Assistant

Location: Marina/Cow Hollow, San Francisco, CA

Position: Part-Time Martial Arts Assistant (20 hours/week)

Preferred Background: Taekwondo, Wrestling, Boxing, Jiu-jitsu, or Muay Thai

About Us:

We are a dynamic martial arts studio located in the vibrant Marina/Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco. Our mission is to foster a positive and empowering environment for children aged 3-12 to learn the art of martial arts, build confidence, and develop discipline.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time martial arts office and instructional assistant to join our team. The hours will be 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM every Monday to Friday with some flexibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in disciplines like Taekwondo, Wrestling, Boxing, Jiu-jitsu, or Muay Thai. They will be responsible for administrative duties, assisting the primary instructor in kids' classes, performing light cleaning duties, and handling studio equipment. Kinesiology majors are encouraged; you'll learn the ins and outs of running a fitness business as well as gain instructional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administrative duties (i.e. answering emails, calls, filing paper work, etc).

- Assist teaching martial arts classes to children aged 3-12.

- Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for all students.

- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain studio cleanliness.

- Carry and organize studio equipment (punching pads, vests, mitts, etc.).

- Foster positive relationships with students and parents.

- Adhere to studio policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong background in Taekwondo, wrestling, boxing, jiu-jitsu, or Muay Thai.

- Experience working with children

Requirements:

- Must be good with kids.

- Ability to pass a background check.

- Reliable, punctual, and professional.

- Physical ability to carry and organize studio equipment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

- $18.07 per hour to start with raise dependent on performance
