Lifeguard (Seasonal & regular positions)
Location: Burlingame, CA
Description: Duties:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pool patrons with a high quality of customer service.
- Monitor swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations
- Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may occur
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid as necessary
- Conduct regular pool inspections to identify any hazards or maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including regular cleaning and sanitizing of pool surfaces and equipment
- Assist with pool maintenance tasks such as chemical testing and balancing, Safety equipment maintenance, in-service training (monthly)
Experience:
- Must have current lifeguard certification
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety techniques
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous lifeguard experience is preferred but not require
- Work front desk during opening/closing shifts (on off-rotations)
Please note that this position may require heavy lifting at times, as well as regular pool cleaning duties.
