Pivotal Aero, LLC in Palo Alto, CA seeks Senior Software Engineer (multiple positions).
Responsibilities: Responsible for leading and overseeing the technical development of software for aircraft systems, data analysis and internal tools, while providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Specific responsibilities include: defining project scope and objectives; providing time estimation and resource allocation for projects; mentoring and supporting the growth of junior engineers; collaborating effectively across interdisciplinary teams to coordinate project work or support verification of aircraft systems in flight operations; developing system architecture and software strategies for aircraft flight control systems; designing and optimizing software architecture for aircraft guidance, navigation, control, and related areas; conducting technical reviews and recommending upgrades to various subsystems; leading the development of advanced systems to analyze aircraft data for failure detection, predictive maintenance, and control system improvements; and other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 6 months of experience in the job offered or related. Other special requirements: 6 months of experience designing system architecture and implementing software for ongoing needs; 6 months of experience working with Docker, Jupyter, OpenCV, or similar machine learning libraries; and 6 months of experience working with C, Python, Linux, or similar programming languages.
