We seek a highly reliable professional with at least 3 years of experience in international logistics, including exporting and importing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of near-perfect attendance, possess reliable transportation, and ensure personal obligations do not interfere with operational hours. This role requires minimal onboarding beyond familiarization with Xicato's specific processes and systems. We value individuals who can proactively suggest improvements based on their extensive logistics background.

Located adjacent to Vasona Park, this position offers a tranquil work environment with the flexibility to work alone or with another team member depending on the hours worked. It’s an excellent opportunity for those looking to pick up additional work on the side, with the potential to transition to full-time as we grow our department and location.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Fulfillment:

Accurately pick, pack, and process orders for shipment.

Ensure that products are accurately packed and labeled for shipment.

Ensure the integrity and quality of shipments.

International Shipping:

Manage customs documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, certificate of origins, CAS, AES filings).

Manage imports/exports and liaise with 3rd party brokers.

Highlight areas of improvement or concern and aid in implementing improvements.

Ensure accurate and compliant documentation for international shipments, including understanding and applying HTS/Schedule B codes.

Stay updated with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.

Receiving and Inventory Management:

Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies.

Update and maintain accurate inventory records.

Maintain and order packing/shipping supplies as necessary.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all outgoing shipments and received goods are in good condition and meet quality standards.

Communication:

Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and 3rd party brokers to ensure smooth operation of shipping and receiving functions.

Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status, inventory levels, and other related matters.

Qualifications:

Proven reliability with excellent attendance records and the ability to manage personal life outside of work hours.

High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or a related field are a plus.

Minimum of 3 years experience in international logistics, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of customs requirements and HTS codes.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving role.

Knowledge of international customs requirements, HTS codes, and 3rd party broker liaison.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Proficiency in modern email providers and familiarity with inventory management software (MRP, ERP, SAP, etc).

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our logistics operations, and we seek candidates who are committed to excellence and continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity for those looking to pick up additional work on the side, with the potential to transition to full-time as we grow our department and location.
