About Us:
At Mr. Mopps', we specialize in diverse literature for children and teens, celebrating stories that reflect the rich tapestry of experiences and backgrounds. We believe that every child deserves to see themselves in the books they read, and we’re dedicated to fostering a love of reading in our community.
Position: Part-Time Bookseller
Shifts: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
Responsibilities:
Greet customers with a warm smile and a friendly attitude.
Help customers find the perfect books for young readers, offering personalized recommendations.
Organize and maintain book displays, ensuring our store is inviting and engaging.
Assist with inventory management and restocking.
Participate in events and storytimes, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for families.
Qualifications:
A love for children’s literature and a commitment to promoting diversity in reading.
Strong communication skills and a knack for connecting with kids and parents alike.
Previous retail experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential!
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and juggle multiple tasks.
A genuine interest in providing excellent customer service, fostering and maintaining relationships with the beautiful communities we serve
Self-motivated and work well with a team
