About this role: We are expanding our program and have 2 openings for onsite House Leaders; one located at a house in Antioch and one at a house in Pittsburg. This role is a wonderful opportunity to live onsite with our mental health participants. The role is a part-time position, 20 hours a week with a flexible schedule. We are looking for someone to live onsite at the home, rent free. They will have a one bedroom in a shared house with the participants and a shared bathroom. Due to the lease, no pets are allowed. Hourly compensation is set at $16.50/hour.

PURPOSE of ROLE: Responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment for residents in a residential home. Ensures the well-being of residents by providing support, enforcing house rules and policies, and responding to residents' needs and emergencies. This position typically involves interaction with residents, managing and documenting resident activities and behaviors, and collaborating with other staff members and service providers. Lives onsite at property with no rent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Enforces house rules, policies, and safety protocols to maintain order and a positive living environment.

· Manage any overnight concerns with residents and respond to emergencies as needed.

· Assist with moving of furniture and housewares for move-ins/outs and deliveries.

· Conducts regular checks of facility areas to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness, and notify supervisor of any repairs needed in a timely manner.

· Documents observations of residents' activities, including incident reports as necessary.

· Interacts professionally and appropriately with residents, de-escalating conflicts and addressing any issues that arise.

· Collaborates with other staff, including social workers and case managers, to address resident issues.

· Completes necessary paperwork, including daily logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

· Maintains the cleanliness and order of the residence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 1+ years community based social services experience or other related experience with homeless adults, mentally ill or substance abusers.

· Computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office).

· Experience with ensuring the safety and security of program operations.

· De-escalation and conflict resolution skills a plus.

· Must successfully pass a criminal background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is typically performed in a residential home environment. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May work varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

May be required to respond to crisis situations, potentially involving individuals experiencing emotional distress or exhibiting challenging behaviors.
