Locally owned commercial real estate brokerage seeks an experienced and highly organized individual for a position as Commercial Property Management Bookkeeper. This is an in the office position for 40 hours per week Mon-Fri. You will need the skills to perform higher-level bookkeeping and accounting operations, focused on all bookkeeping and accounting support for a property management team. This position reports to the Managing Broker and Controller.

Qualifications: This position requires at least at least 3 years previous experience in property management bookkeeping. Advanced familiarity MS Excel, including preparation of complex formula workbooks, is required. Experience with commercial real estate lease contracts is a plus. Experience with property management software such as Yardi, Appfolio, etc, is mandatory, including specific knowledge in setting up owners, tenants, properties, balance sheets and operating cost recoveries (including complex OCR/NNN/CAM charges).

General Duties:

Annually – In conjunction with property managers, calculating annual OCR (Operating Cost Recoveries) per lease clauses for commercial properties; reconciling the prior year charges; preparing a budget for the current year's estimates.

Calculating monthly and quarterly (Operating Cost Recoveries) per lease clauses for commercial properties; and posting to tenant ledger accounts.

Owner Property Insurance Tracking & Renewals in conjunction with property managers.

Monthly Bank Reconciliation of property operating accounts. (Approximately 75 accounts)

Reviewing monthly financial reports for building owners and property managers as requested.

Assisting with work order processing and General Ledger billing coding

Assist Preparation of Annual Property Operating Budgets

For new property accounts: Assisting with setting up ticklers for tracking and charging OCR’s.

Preparing Ad hoc commercial lease and financial reports as requested

Responding to building owners, property managers, tenants and vendor questions related to bookkeeping

Assist with preparation of year-end 1099's for property vendors and property owners.

Tracking and posting real property tax bill payments for all managed properties.

Other bookkeeping tasks as assigned by the Company
