The shipping agent/admin is responsible for receiving, shipping, and final delivery of all goods. The primary goal is to provide flawless delivery service to our customers by ensuring all orders are delivered on time and completed. The individual is responsible for maintaining the profitability of the shipping department.

Job Responsibilities
Receive and log inbound shipments. Maintain timely and accurate inventory information.
Verify that the received product is correct and in sellable condition.
Prepares all inventory for shipment, including packing, labeling, and quality checks.
Coordinates due dates, shipping details, and quality clauses with sales and purchasing teams.
Processes outbound shipments using the best available options per customer requirements.
Orchestrate drop shipments, request shipping cost quotes, and process and communicate shipment reservations.
Maintain sales database with accurate and timely shipping updates and tracking information.
Coordinate returns with Accounting and Vendors.
Proactively report on and address shipping holds and errors.
Schedule daily pick-ups with UPS and FedEx and maintain a list of inbound shipments to expedite orders as they arrive.
Maintains a clean and well-supplied shipping room.
The shipping agent/admin must know shipping best practices and experience with standard and freight couriers, especially UPS and FedEx shipment management systems. To be successful, the agent will need excellent communication skills to work with the sales and purchasing teams and freight/courier services. The agent must be proactive and independent. The agent must also be highly detailed and well-organized to manage 20+ shipments inbound and outbound daily. International shipping experience is a plus.
