We are looking for a family assistant to provide help and support to our busy, single-parent household (mom, 9-year-old boy, and 12-year-old girl)
As our family assistant, you will play an important role in keeping our household running smoothly and successfully, including: picking the kids up from school and/or other extracurricular activities, oversight and support of the kids, helping plan and prepare snacks and meals, dog care, and small errands and house projects
Key responsibilities:
Transport children to and from school and extracurricular activities
Help with meal and snack preparation
Support the kids in keeping on track with homework, chores, and other responsibilities
Organize and participate in creative, physical, and educational activities for the kids (e.g. crafting, card games, basketball)
Help keep the house tidy (no deep-cleaning)
Occasional dog walking
Run errands (e.g. returning purchases, short grocery runs)
Small house projects
About you:
Must have a car in good condition and a valid driver's license, with clean driving record and proficient driving skills
Must provide at least one valid reference
Organized, reliable, and responsible
Fluent in English, Mandarin-speaking a plus
Enjoys children at elementary and middle school ages
Ability to come up with creative ideas to engage children, tutoring experience a plus
Comfortable with medium to large sized dogs - there are two in the household
A positive and patient personality

Competitive salary
10-12 guaranteed hrs/week, possibility for more
Schedule to be set on a bi-weekly basis: morning and afternoon shifts with occasional evenings during the summer, and afternoon shifts with occasional evenings during the school year
Parking provided: either a garage spot near the house during work hours, or a local parking permit
