HIRING: The Dance Center Part-time Front Desk Assistant
Part-time (approx 12 hours/week)
The Dance Center is looking for a dynamic team member to support the operations for the front office of our busy dance studio. Reporting to our Office Manager, the ideal candidate is a people-person who thrives on organization. We are seeking applicants with strong customer-service experience.
This position is approximately 12 hours per week with the following availability:
Mondays 5:30-9:15pm
Wednesdays 4:15-9:15pm
Fridays 2:30-6:30pm
Shifts will include administrative work and facilities management, while also being present for customer service during our regular dance class programming. This role is open for an immediate start date and includes training with the Office Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage relationships with customers new and returning
- Clerical, administrative and secretarial responsibilities & tasks
- Participate in the planning and execution of dance performance events
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Conduct monetary transactions for snack bar and tuition payments
- Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
- Reporting to the Office Manager, helping to organize office operations & maintain efficient company procedures

Hourly pay rate begins at $18/hour. Pay is negotiable based on experience and skills. Candidates with experience in event planning, customer service, and administrative excellence are highly encouraged to apply.
