Position Overview:
The After School Site Supervisor oversees programming being conducted at a specific site location- Alameda and Berkeley. This position works closely with the Executive Director and/or Program Director to develop and enrich programming for the people being served, provide leadership and guidance to those they supervise and manage, and perform tasks and projects for the betterment and future of the program and organization in general.
The Site Supervisor oversees daily operations at one of our program sites, supervising staff and ensuring high-quality services for students. This includes curriculum development, direct support, staff training, and maintaining compliance with key stakeholders, licensing and funding requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision & Training:
Supervise Lead Support Specialists, Support Specialists, and Paraprofessionals
Create daily schedules and coordinate staff coverage
Provide on-the-job coaching and lead new hire orientations for Direct Support Professionals and above-mentioned roles
In coordination with the Program Director, Program Supervisor, and/or Executive Director, responsible for creating and implementing Corrective Action Notices as well as progressive discipline practices with staff, up to and including termination
Ensure that all staff is meeting the standards and requirements related to CCL/CDSS (Title 22) and Regional Centers (Title 17)
Responsibilities to Participants:
Participate in intakes, assessments, and collaborate with behaviorist, parents, case managers, site director to design, implement and monitor behavior plans
Support students directly when needed and ensure proper staff to student ratios
Develop age-appropriate curriculum and enrichment activities
Regularly document student progress and maintain accurate reports, per requirements
Ensure the physical environment promotes safety and is conducive to class objectives, including cleanliness and organization
Modify teaching prompts and materials appropriate to individual student communication and learning styles
Responsibilities to Parents & Family Engagement:
Communicate regularly with families about student progress and maintain a welcoming “open door” policy
Coordinate IEP participation and write relevant reports (ISPs, DRDPs, etc.)
Distribute program updates parents and caregivers regarding the progress of their participant(s)
Responsibilities to Program & Facility Oversight
Manage supplies, petty cash, and vehicle safety
Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL) and funder standards
Conduct emergency drills and uphold safety protocols
Know and follow Ala Costa Centers’ Safety Plan and Emergency Procedures, Ala Costa Staff Handbook, and program specific protocols
Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct
Ensure all staff/student files are complete and up to date
Required Qualifications:
BA in a related field or 24 units in Social Services/Early Childhood Education/ Child Development
1-year supervisory experience & 1-year of teaching experience
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer proficiency (MS Office: Word, Excel)
Valid CA Driver’s License; clean driving record
DOJ/FBI background clearance
Current CPR/First Aid certification
Negative TB test and health clearance

Salary Range (based on experience and qualifications)
$25.50-26.50/hr.
