Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at our STRTP facility. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of our residents. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals while gaining valuable experience in the field of residential care.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and supervise residents during shift hours to ensure their safety and security.
Perform regular checks and inspections of the facility to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.
Assist residents with daytime/nighttime routines, including bedtime preparations and medication administration as needed.
Document observations and incidents accurately and thoroughly in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate effectively with other staff members to ensure continuity of care and support for residents.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in a relevant field preferred.
Prior experience working in a residential care setting, especially with individuals with behavioral or emotional challenges, is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Reliable and responsible with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule basis.
