We are an Oakland-based art, design and fabrication studio seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our talented team of artists and makers. We're looking for a motivated, hard-working individual to work in our fabrication department where we make art, wall sculpture, and architectural elements.

You should have a strong skillset with woodworking and/or art materials - as well as a passion for making things, strong aesthetic sensibility, work well within a team environment, work efficiently with strong attention to detail - and be prepared to learn and help with a wide variety of tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Produce final, finished artworks and decorative products ready for installation

- Package artworks for commercial shipment

- Install artworks on and offsite

- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace

- Participate in company systems, SOPs, and workflows

- Track your hours accurately

- Take on a variety of tasks to help us all succeed!

Qualifications & Requirements:

- 2+ years working experience in a fabrication shop, wood shop, artist studio or other related professional work environment

- Able to communicate via working drawings, shop drawings, and sketches

- Experience with general wood shop equipment and tools: table saw, chop saw, air tools, etc.

- Experience with a range of art/studio mediums (applied textures, casting, mixed media, metal work etc.)

- Proficiency with water based finishes and techniques (spraying, brushing, rolling, etc.) preferred

- Able to work independently and under direction

- Eye for detail and a sense for quality construction

- Interest in developing and maintaining a high skill level in their craft

- Experience handling and packaging 2D and 3D artworks

- Physically able to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift heavy objects when required

- Reliable transportation to ensure on time arrival

- Diligence with tracking hours

Additional Information:

- Full time with overtime occasionally as needed

- Hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 7a to 330p or 830a - 5p shift

- Vacation, holidays, 401k, health/vision/dental coverage

- Compensation commensurate with experience; $23 - $27+/hr and benefits
