Join a Residential Design/Build Architecture and Construction Company, HDR Remodeling

We are seeking an Experienced Designer to join our growing mostly residential Design/Build Team. You are skilled, collaborative, creative, personable, and driven. You enjoy working in a fast paced office and are comfortable working with senior leaders, principals, and high profile clients. You are passionate about your design work and in bringing a client's vision to life as an independent worker who is a stickler to deadlines. You also enjoy the collaboration and idea exchange of a team dedicated to client's highest satisfaction.

At HDR Remodeling, you have the unique opportunity to see your architectural creation come to life and to be part of the entire process of Architectural Design through Construction. You are not afraid to express your design ideas and opinions in order to meet the needs of the client and to support the success of the Project

1. Communicating with clients and the internal team related to assigned projects, deadlines, scheduling meetings, implementation of design/build, and project planning.

3. Majority of the time working on CAD Modeling and Design for assigned projects

4. Weigh aesthetic concerns/ ideas against budgetary demands

Ability to commute/relocate:

Five (5) year degree in Architecture, Interior Design or similar area of study is highly desired. Some coursework and/or years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience designing with a practical knowledge of residential remodeling, creating floor plans and drawing elevations and perspectives highly desired.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members, clients, vendors, or other third parties and within the community.

Strong knowledge of appropriate English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word usage. Ability to communicate concepts, thoughts, and ideas, both written and verbal, to others.

Creative imagination and practical understanding of construction.

Proficient in CAD Drafting

Ability to successfully lead the design department.

Hand drawing skills and good “design sense” for space planning and finishes selections.

Good communication skills, personable demeanor and sense of humor.

Strong knowledge of appropriate English, spelling, grammar, punctuation and word usage and ability to communicate concepts, thoughts and ideas both written and orally to others.

Ability to establish and maintain collaborative, effective working relationships with managers, peers, clients and other employees.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn and utilize other Company software such as BuilderTrend, Google suite

Ability to work within deadlines.

Must be results-focused, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.

Must work well in a cohesive group and take feedback, share ideas, and shift priorities well.

Must be an effective problem solver.

Able to maintain clear, consistent systems and devise new ones where necessary.

Strong knowledge and understanding of construction, design, and industry trends

Proven track record working with all levels of an organization, as well as clients, potential clients, and vendors.

Observe strict confidentiality regarding all information obtained in the course of employment.

Ability to work within timelines and under pressure and meet deadlines.

Maintain a valid driver’s license and state-required insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
