We are seeking a talented and creative Communications Coordinator and Graphic Designer to join our church staff. Our vital congregation is progressive and committed to serving our community. This is an in-person position. 10 hours per week. Wednesdays 9:30 - 2:30, Thursday 9:30 - 2:30.
Create and send weekly Thursday & Sunday E-news using MailChimp
Design and confirm run dates for ads for Marin IJ.
Create Sunday bulletins for special services using Adobe InDesign.
Design special publications, seasonal newsletter, and flyers for events,
Create annual reports – photos and text
Maintain photo library
Update church website regularly. Post weekly services, sermons & bulletins
Create Facebook and Instagram postings
Participate in creating marketing plans for church programs and events.
Participate in weekly in-person staff meetings.
Work with other office staff in supporting the ministries and mission of the congregation.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Ability to use PowerPoint, Microsoft Office (Word), Outlook, Dropbox,
Weebly CMS, Trello, MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube
- Understanding of websites and experience with Wix & Squarespace
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff & church members
- Mac user
