We are a small but quickly growing startup based in Santa Cruz, CA that is focused on products in the outdoor recreation and camping space. We are looking for a Marketing Manager that is enthusiastic about spending time outdoors camping, biking, surfing, tailgating or whatever feeds your passion. Our brand creates products that are primarily used at sporting events, camping and in outdoor recreation and we are seeking someone that is familiar with other brands, products, and events in the outdoor space. Given we are a small team of four you will likely be doing a bit of everything at one point or another but the primary role is Marketing and Digital Content Manager.
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in creative marketing, with a strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience with social media platforms and ad management campaigns such as AdWords, Meta, TicTok
- Experience Managing Amazon ad campaigns and storefronts
- Is able to create product pages and update our ecommerce storefront on Shopify
- The ability to create compelling and visually appealing newsletters using Klaviyo and/or MailChimp
- The ability to create, cut, and edit content using phone and/or DSLR cameras for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube
- Solicit for and manage user generated content for publication on social channels
- Is able to manage brand partnerships with other brands including giveaways and joint photoshoots
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
There will be some occasional trade shows, but they are always fun and with similar people who enjoy what we do. This is not a remote position and can start as part time if needed but would likely grow into full time in the near future. If this sounds exciting, we would love to hear from you.
