Absolute Trust Counsel is a small, established law firm in Walnut Creek focusing on estate planning, trust administration, probate, Medi-Cal planning and special needs planning. We are seeking a full-time Paralegal focused primarily on trust administration and probate matters. The person in this roll will provide a high level of support to our clients, affiliates and our team. Our first priority is our clients' well-being, and we take great pride in making our planning processes pleasant, convenient and efficient. The right candidate is someone who has a desire to learn, implement effective systems and an interest in helping families through the after death process.
About This Position - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Draft and edit legal documents
Prepare, edit and send basic correspondence
File and retrieve documents
Maintain client database accurately
Manage tasks efficiently
Acclimate and assimilate to our firm culture
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
About You and Our Requirements:
Minimum of three years of directly relevant experience
Warm, kind, friendly and easy-going
Organized and able to prioritize
Excellent proofreading, written and oral communication skills
Able to follow instructions and work efficiently
A team player
Experience in a fast-paced work environment
Able to multi-task and deal with interruptions
Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
Self-aware
Reliable and punctual
Able to recognize and admit your mistakes and learn from them
Detail-oriented and a problem solver
Interested in what you are doing and why
Knowledge of relevant software including MS Office Suite, Hotdocs and Judicial Council Forms a plus!
