Role Overview: We are seeking a highly organized, empathetic, and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our growing Pre-Litigation Department in our Oakland Office. The Case Manager will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and clients throughout the Pre-Litigation process. This position involves direct client interaction, document management, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering support and updates throughout the case lifecycle.

Conduct initial client intakes, gathering critical information and documentation relevant to their case.

Coordinate the investigation of claims, including gathering medical records, accident reports, and other essential evidence.

Work closely with attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for settlement demands.

Manage case documentation, ensuring all relevant information is accurately filed and easily accessible.

Facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties involved in the case.

Monitor case timelines and deadlines, ensuring compliance with court requirements and procedural deadlines.

Provide empathetic support to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the legal system while addressing their concerns and questions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Legal Studies, Criminal Justice) equivalent work experience in personal injury law and/or employment law.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a case management or legal assistant role, preferably within a personal injury law firm.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client service.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Spanish fluency.
