Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation cases. Your expertise in legal research, writing, and negotiation will be essential in providing effective legal representation.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough legal research using resources such as Westlaw
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
- Conduct depositions and interviews to gather evidence for cases
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the state bar association and licensed to practice law in California
- Proven experience as a Litigation Attorney
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document review
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
