Legal Case Clerk (semi-entry level)

Our client, A well-established multinational law firm is looking to fulfill a need for a direct hire Legal Case Clerk. This position reports onsite five days per week within the first year, then transitions to a hybrid-based schedule during second year of role to the firms downtown San Francisco office location (on Mission Street). This role requires a two-year commitment, with flexibility for work-related travel (Expensed) and availability for overtime as needed.

Employment Type: Full Time Direct Hire | M - F | 9am – 5:30pm PT

Pay Rate: $60,000 / Annually (+Benefits)

Responsibilities:

Document review and maintenance (indexing boxes, bates-labeling, quality checking)

Routine case file management (including production of pleadings and correspondence files, deposition transcripts, and exhibits) by organizing, maintaining, and tracking files for accessibility

Retrieve documents (dockets, pleadings) from courts and agencies

Assist in preparation of legal documents (exhibits and filings)

Prepare and maintain document/trial binders, witness preparation binders, and topic binders. Updating

Database administration and search queries (Ringtail, Concordance) to retrieve lawyer's requested documents.

Prepare deposition summaries and conduct searches in deposition transcripts.

Legal research projects utilizing Lexis and Westlaw

Assist with cite-checking projects, and trial preparation procedures as requested

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university. Prior legal experience via internship or paralegal studies (certificate program) is a plus. A minimum of a two-year commitment is required for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications. Experience in Adobe Acrobat is a plus. Strong word processing skills with sharp attention to detail. Must possess adept time management abilities, professionalism, and agility to support a fast-paced environment while prioritizing scope of work. A collaborative and team-oriented working style is highly desired in the ideal candidates.
