A small San Francisco law firm which represents property owners and management companies (primarily non-profit housing providers) in all phases of litigation, and property management matters is looking for a full-time legal assistant to support several attorneys. This position is not a typical paralegal, nor legal assistant position; it is a hybrid type position.
The person hired for this position will participate in all aspects of unlawful detainer litigation, including the preparation of pleading documents on Judicial Council Forms. Experience with Judicial Council form software such as Hot Docs or Essential Forms, is preferred. Experience completing judicial council forms, including complaints, defaults, memos to set for trial, discovery, and experience in litigation calendaring is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Great attention to detail, ability to multitask, and superior organizational skills are mandatory.
Familiarity with Timeslips, Word, Wordperfect and Outlook, is also required.
Prior work experience in landlord-tenant litigation or property management is preferred, but is not a requirement.
This position is full time and entails interacting with process servers and messengers, calendaring hearings, greeting clients, answering phones, sorting mail, and other duties, as assigned.
