Are you someone who enjoys working around horses? Our barn in Sonoma County is looking for a stall cleaner/ranch hand who is comfortable working around lively warmbloods while maintaining a clean stable environment. This position consists of cleaning stalls, paddocks, and general upkeep of the property. The ideal candidate is someone who is hardworking, has love for animals, and a good team player.
Position Type:
-Full time (up to 5 days a week)
-Starting at 20/hr (depending on experience and work ethic)
-Holidays
-Ability to commute/relocate to job location (Santa Rosa, CA, 95409)
-Relocate before starting work (required)
Responsibilities include:
-Cleaning and bedding horse stalls daily
-Cleaning paddocks daily
-Cleaning water troughs daily
-Maintaining a clean and organized barn environment (including sweeping barn isles, dusting sills, cleaning windows, etc)
-Weekly scheduled duties such as unloading hay, unloading shavings, unloading grain, taking manure off property General ranch work
-Potential assistance with turning out of horses (in case canditate has horse experience)
Requirements include:
-Horse experience not required, but recommended
-Valid clean drivers license and SS#
-Ability to work in all weather conditions
-Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks (having the strength to lift 100lb hay bales and 50lb bags of shavings/feed)
-Physical condition to be working on your feet for the duration of the day
-Reliable and accountable work ethic
-Good communication skills
