Portola Ranch Association Maintenance Supervisor
Looking for maintenance supervisor to join the management team of the homeowners’ association Portola Valley Ranch.
PVR is a 205-home community nestled in the hills of Portola Valley. Please email your resume and references if
interested. Employee’s job responsibilities, which may be amended from time to time by the General Manager and/or
Board, include the following:
General knowledge
Be familiar with general site management and repair techniques
Act on or advise residents on adherence to Association rules
Basic carpentry, basic plumbing, and other handyman skills
Strong customer service skills
Basic computer skills
General maintenance
Oversee safety of and implement common area cleanliness and general maintenance
Ensure all emergency preparedness solutions, such as generators and supplies, are operable and up to date at all
times
Assist homeowners with Ranch common area related issues during normal work hours and after normal work
hours for emergencies
Set up the club house in preparation for meetings, and as required, special events
Deliver hard-copy correspondence to resident mailboxes
Make general deliveries on behalf of the Association
Maintain the dog waste posts
Assist with landscape projects
Construction
Organize and maintain association tools
Assist in repair and maintenance construction projects
Keep the association’s maintenance facility organized and clean
Swimming pool
Maintain the association’s two swimming pools to ensure that they are clean from debris and within generally
accepted and regulated guidelines for pool chemistry
Collaboration
Take direction from the General Manager, and assist the General Manager with specific requests that may be
made on an ad-hoc basis
Inform the General Manager as soon as possible of any issues which may potentially be deemed to be sensitive
in nature to, or impact the safety of, the association
Display a team-oriented approach to association staff, residents, and committees
Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions with association staff and residents
Participate in and act as advisor to the association’s Infrastructure, Emergency Preparedness, and Fire Risk
Management Committees
Restrictions
Act within personal physical limits for strenuous work, including the ability to lift 40 lbs without discomfort
Have an active California driver’s license
First Aid Certified (or willingness to get certified)
Background check required
