I am seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide assistance and support to two seniors in their home. The caregiver will be responsible for ensuring the seniors' safety, well-being, and comfort on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
Assist seniors with activities of daily living, including bathing, meal prep, dressing, grooming, walking, exercise and toileting.
Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Provide companionship and engage seniors in stimulating activities, such as conversation, games, and light exercise.
Accompany seniors to medical appointments and assist with transportation as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishes, and tidying up common areas.
Monitor seniors for any changes in health or behavior and report concerns to family members or healthcare providers.
Maintain a safe and clean environment, including preventing falls and accidents.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to seniors, promoting independence and autonomy whenever possible.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working as a caregiver, preferably with seniors.
Certification in CPR and first aid (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
