A Warehouse Associate at RS Display plays a key role in supporting our display fabrication shop. This position focuses on the organization, handling, and movement of materials and inventory throughout the warehouse and shop. For candidates with strong experience and leadership skills, this role may grow into—or be hired directly as—a Warehouse Manager, responsible for overseeing broader operational and logistical tasks.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. A basic understanding of materials and tools used in exhibit fabrication is a plus.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2–3+ years of warehouse experience required
- Prior warehouse lead or management experience strongly preferred for manager-level consideration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks; confident in loading/unloading large crates and exhibit components on and off freight trucks.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, packing, and inventory tracking
- Comfortable handling large, heavy, or irregularly shaped materials
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Safety-focused mindset and familiarity with warehouse best practices
- Basic knowledge of exhibit components, wood, metals, plastics, and hardware is a plus.

Inventory Management
- Receive and inspect incoming materials (e.g., wood, metal, plastics, fabrics)
- Maintain accurate inventory records at stock locations
- Keep materials stored safely and accessibly
Material Handling & Organization
- Move and store materials by type, size, and project
- Sort and label materials for ease of use
- Secure heavy or large items to ensure safety and accessibility
Shipping & Receiving
- Pack and prepare outgoing exhibit components or materials
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy
- Complete inbound inspections and documentation
General Maintenance & Safety
- Store hazardous materials and chemicals per safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and eyewash stations
- Assist fabrication staff with moving exhibit components throughout the shop
- Help optimize shop layout and workflow
Order Fulfillment & Coordination
- Pull and stage materials for active projects based on work orders and/or supervisor instruction
- Communicate with supervisors and fabrication leads to ensure timely material availability
Forklift & Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely
- Load and unload trucks with confidence, especially with large or irregular freight
