Job Title: Field / Warehouse Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time to Full-Time
Position Summary
The Field / Warehouse Assistant is a part-time to full-time hybrid role that supports the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations and is also responsible for material deliveries to job sites. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth operations, organizing materials, and ensuring timely and accurate field deliveries. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious, with a strong sense of urgency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Receiving
Assists the Warehouse Manager with unloading trucks and receiving inventory
Tags materials with job number/name and stages them appropriately in the warehouse
2. Outgoing Jobs
Assists in staging materials for job site installations based on work orders
Verifies accuracy of materials and helps installation teams load vehicles
3. Delivery Operations
Safely loads, transports, and delivers materials to job sites using company vehicles
Ensures accuracy and completeness of deliveries; obtains signatures or proof of delivery as needed
Communicates with Warehouse Manager and field teams regarding delivery schedules or changes
Maintains delivery vehicle cleanliness and reports any concerns
4. Fleet Maintenance
Assists the Warehouse Manager with keeping company vehicles clean (interior/exterior)
Helps monitor fuel levels and schedules regular vehicle maintenance
5. Inventory Cycle Counts
Assists with monthly cycle counts and logging discrepancies
Supports adjustments and inventory documentation
6. Equipment
Assists in inspecting and maintaining warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
Follows sign-in/out process for equipment and reports repair needs
7. General Maintenance & Waste
Helps stage trash, recycling, and green waste for scheduled pickups
Assists in sweeping warehouse and yard areas daily
Helps with deliveries to recycling centers and landfill as directed
8. Safety
Follows all safety protocols and uses appropriate PPE
Reports any unsafe conditions or missing safety equipment to the Director of Operations
9. Additional Duties
Completes other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Director of Operations
Requirements
Forklift certification required
Clean driving record – able to pass MVR check and drive company vehicles
Able to lift/carry at least 50 lbs regularly
Experience driving cargo vans or delivery trucks preferred
Basic proficiency with smartphones and computers
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
Positive attitude, sense of urgency, and team-oriented mindset
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly: $20-$25/hr. depending on experience
