About the Role: Be your own boss. GRS Fleet Services is seeking a reliable and motivated De-Fueling Technician to join our team in San Jose. As an independent contractor, you'll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while performing critical services for our exclusive national rental car clients. This role involves removing fuel from rental vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal interaction with other workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely remove fuel from rental cars in the airport rental car center.
Work independently outdoors, adhering to all safety protocols.
Manage your own schedule, primarily working early mornings or afternoons.
Ensure all vehicles are de-fueled and processed according to company and client standards.
Compensation:
Paid commission equivalent to $25 per hour.
Compensation for training upon successful completion.
Requirements:
Basic mechanical skills and ability to work outdoors.
Vehicle capable of towing a small trailer (tow hitch required) less than 1 mile daily.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Must reside within 30 miles of San Jose Airport.
Smart phone for communication and job management.
Strong customer relations and account management skills.
