Private in-home care for my 93 year old mother. She is cognitively intact, relatively independent and has a pleasant demeanor. Tasks include lunch preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, take her for walks, do laundry and other tasks as agreed upon. Ability to cook a plus, otherwise prepared foods will be available. No toileting, showering, dressing, medicine administration or nursing care needed at this time.
The applicant MUST be in the IHSS (In-Home Support Service) system or actively applying to become an IHSS caretaker in San Mateo County. Information about applying can be found here: https://www.smchealth.org/provider-enrollment. You will be paid through IHSS and would need to get certified through them. It entails watching a video, filling out paperwork and paying a small fee to get fingerprinted.
Client is hearing impaired and immune-compromised. Applicant must be able to communicate clearly in English, and be current on vaccinations, including COVID.
Part-time position: Monday through Friday, 9:00 - 2:00 but hours are negotiable. Maximum of 90 hours/month, with no share-of-cost.
