Scheduling Coordinator Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Scheduling Coordinator. Qualifications include the following:
At least one year of experience with scheduling in a medical office
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients/staff in person, on phone and in email
Demonstrates organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
Comfortable with children
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems
Bilingual Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the workflow to support operations of the speech therapy clinic
Serve as the primary and secondary responder to all inbound phone calls
This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with clinic staff, school-based and remote employees, clients/families, and referral sources
Serve as an administrative support resource for all clinical staff by responding to staff requests/concerns, support coordination of care between clinicians and outside providers, and assist with recertification of clinician licenses
Maintain vacation calendar information to assist in the coordination of patient services and staff availability
Keep track of details related to the demographic information, skill sets, availability, and productivity levels of staff
Accurately complete all workflow associated with staff requests for scheduling changes, caseload reassignments, new referral scheduling, missed visit, appointment time change requests
Support clinical leadership by maintaining the proper daily workflow of tasks
Communicate effectively, professionally, and thoroughly with staff regarding coordination of care expectations, educate and uphold deadlines
Demonstrate commitment, professional growth, and competency
Provide insight to identify needs for additional staff, and support recruiting events as needed
Ensure compliance with all state, federal & HIPAA regulatory requirements

Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.00/hr pending experience
