Home Care Aides improve the quality of life for local seniors. HCA’s provide the crucial support that allows our seniors to stay as independent as possible in their own homes. Our caring HCA Team engages with local seniors to help improve their quality of life. They create meaningful connections that are integral to the well being of those we serve. Immediate positions are available for qualified applicants. Safe At Home Senior Care is locally owned and operated and has been in business since 2005.
Shifts Available: Mornings available in 3 - 4 Hour Shifts & Swing Shifts 3p-10p
Some of the tasks we help our seniors with are:
Assisting seniors with maintaining their homes: Light housekeeping, changing linens, laundry, light gardening, as needed assist with organizing and decluttering.
Helping them to access the community: including helping them attend doctors’ appointments, going on errands, go grocery shopping, assist them with planning & making nutritious meals.
As needed, we may assist the senior with more personal tasks like: Assisting with transfers, lending a hand while dressing, and maintaining their personal care & hygiene.
When applicable we may also help our seniors utilize adaptive equipment to help them maintain their mobility. Additional training would be provided as need to train staff on specific transfers and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License, reliable vehicle and clean driving record
Must be 18+ years old
Ability to become registered on the Home Care Aide Registry:
o Pass FBI background check
o Obtain proof of negative TB test (If needed we will pay for this)
Good communication and time-management skills
1+ year of professional caregiving experience
Experience providing hygiene and personal care (Bathing, dressing, grooming)
CNA certification or healthcare-related education is a plus
Ideal for individuals currently studying to become a CNA or enrolled in a healthcare program
Expedited Hiring for those already compliant with the HCSB requirements
