We are looking for an Overnight Aide/ Direct Service Professional/Aide to support a 22 year old male who is nonverbal and has both intellectual and developmental disabilities. He resides in southern Novato and requires someone who can assist him with his personal care and also soothe him to facilitate him falling asleep. There is a separate bedroom available for you to sleep in while he sleeps.
We presently have available 2-3 overnight shifts during the week and the shift is from 10pm-9am
Job Responsibilities Include:
Assistance with daily living tasks including meal preparation, personal hygiene and personal care including showering, dressing, assisting with toileting and changing pull-ups as he is schedule trained but does have occasional accidents
Requirements :
Friendly, helpful attitude,
Extreme patience, flexibility and willingness to problem solve and learn as you go
High level of accountability and dependability
Experience working with individuals who are nonverbal or supporting people with disabilities is preferred
Ability to pass LiveScan fingerprint clearance and background check
Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfortable providing physical and verbal redirecting
Prior experience working as a DSP, CNA, or similar role in a related field
Overnight pay shift is currently $26/hour
Seeking a minimum 1 year commitment.
This is a legal W2 type position.
