Live-In Caregiver Needed for Elderly Woman with Vision Loss & Dementia (Castro Valley, CA)
I am seeking a compassionate and experienced live-in caregiver for my 89-year-old aunt, who is nearly blind, has some dementia, limited mobility due to a recent fall, and requires colostomy care.
Responsibilities:
Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene)
Manage colostomy care and monitor overall health
Prepare meals and assist with feeding, if needed
Light housekeeping and laundry
Provide companionship and cognitive engagement
Administer medications and accompany to doctor appointments
Requirements:
Experience with dementia care and vision impairment
Knowledge of colostomy care (or willingness to learn)
Patient, reliable, and physically capable of assisting with mobility
Must pass a background check and provide references
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
