We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team at our 11 bed Board and Care Home. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to individuals in need, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, vacuuming, and tidying up
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field (minimum 1 year in facilities)
- Knowledge of nursing home or home care procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with working with individuals with dementia is highly desirable
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Fingerprint and background clearance with the California Department of Social Services is required to work at all residential care facilities for the elderly.
