Family seeks therapeutic caregiver for 40 year old man disabled by a severe stroke in SF (outer Richmond district) James is quadriplegic and unable to speak but he is able to communicate with partner assisted scanning or an eye-trackingcomputer. We are looking for a caregiverwho can assist James with activities of daily living and therapy. Because of James's severe movement limitations physical therapy is a part of everything we do. Tasks include help with communication, eating, bathing, elimination, transfers and therapy. You would work with us (mother, father and brother) until you are able to work independentlywith James.
Experience is not a must. Engagement and ability to learn is. Ideal for individuals interested in rehab and recovery. The job is physical and engaging. Ideal for someone local. Shifts couldbe 4-6 hrs long. At least one weekend day is a must. We are looking for someonefor 2-3 shifts aweek. Shifts could be either mornings starting around 8-9 am or afternoons starting approx1-2 pm. Starts at $30 but can be higher based on ability and performance. Please email if interested.
