Reporting to a Community Development Program Coordinator, this position will work with a direct team of five others, including another Community Development Program Technician II and accounting staff, as part of a larger division of approximately twelve employees. The lead responsibilities of this position are to review and analyze program requirements related to the applicable funding program used to fund the affordable housing project, prepare for, schedule, conduct and monitor affordable housing compliance. The primary daily tasks will include:

Reviewing the monitoring schedule

Scheduling monitoring reviews/site visits with property owners/managers

Conducting on site visits and reviewing files and documents to determine compliance with regulatory agreements

Following up with any identified noncompliance for correction

Reviewing monitoring documents submitted electronically

Filing documents, maintaining files, and providing related compliance technical assistance to owners/property managers

In addition to being a self-motivated team player with professional presence, be detail oriented, and have a positive attitude, the ideal candidate will possess:

One or more years of recent work experience in affordable housing

Knowledge and education in the fields of affordable housing administration and compliance with government regulations

The ability to interpret federal regulations, local policies, and laws

Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse, underserved populations

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook

The ability to multitask and work in a busy office environment

Empathy as they will be working with very low income, vulnerable, and diverse community members
