About Us:
XICA is a vibrant Chicana style restaurant located inside the historical Levi’s Plaza of San Francisco, dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience with authentic flavors, a warm atmosphere and known for having the best gluten-free kitchen in the area. We are currently seeking two to three friendly and enthusiastic persons to join our team. This is an entry-level position offers the opportunity for growth, potentially leading to a server position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient service.
- Provide clean menus and inform guests about daily specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area including resetting tables quickly, assisting in bussing, running food and beverages, polishing silverware and glassware.
- Assist with any guest inquiries and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth operations.
- Other duties as assigned, not limited to assisting with takeout orders, answering phone calls, and will be crossed trained to be supporting service staff as needed.
- This entry-level position offers the opportunity for growth, potentially leading to a server position.
Shift Availability:
We are looking for candidates who can cover a minimum of 4-5 shifts per week, Monday-Saturday.
Please note that shift times are subject to change based on the needs of the restaurant
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & flexible to last minute changes.
- 1 year previous experience in a restaurant setting is a plus, but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
